Pat Disabato, who enjoyed a 31-year career as a sportswriter for The Star Newspapers, the SouthtownStar, and the Daily Southtown, was honored with the IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his alma mater, Eisenhower High School, in Blue Island.
Pat, who continues to host the high school sports show Coaches Corner, was joined by his wife Erin and daughter Josie, along with a group of friends, family, and Eisenhower adminstrators, as he was recognized during halftime of Eisenhower's varsity football game against visiting Shepard.
