The Chicago Bears announced that junior Omarion James of Foreman College and Career Academy in Chicago has been named the sixth Community High School All-Star award winner of the season. The Community High School All-Star award recognizes high school football players making a positive impact in their community and school throughout the season.

James spent his summer giving back to the community, including volunteering at a food drive hosted by Alderman Felix Cardona Jr. and Grace & Peace Church. The event benefitted families and members of the Belmont Cragin community. James' immediate family has been impacted by Chicago's gun violence, but he continues to persevere and is committed to staying strong and helping to improve the lives of his family members. Despite the challenges presented by remote learning, James has maintained As and Bs in his classes and attended more than 90 percent of his courses. James will be directing the $500 donation he receives for winning the award to a local organization that helps provide meals for those who are food insecure due to COVID-19.
