2018-19 IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award – Don Chipman

Don Chipman, the long-time sports editor of the Cass County Star-Gazette and voice of Beardstown athletics on WRMS radio, was honored with his IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Friday, October 12, 2018, during pre-game of Beardstown High School's varsity football contest.

Surrounded by family and friends, Chipman received his award from BHS Athletic Director Josh Sorrells, Star-Gazette colleague Brian DeLoche and IHSA Assistant Executive Director Matt Troha. Chipman then addressed the crowd, which you can watch below:
