For nearly five years, the IHSA has been proud to present unprecedented coverage of its state final events on the internet via
www.IHSA.tv.
Coverage of postseason IHSA State Series soccer, cheerleading, speech and wrestling (just to name a few) have been made possible through the IHSA’s partnership with PlayOn! Sports. That partnership evolved in October, when the IHSA became one of 37 state associations in the country to join the
NFHS Network.
Joining the NFHS Network presents one significant change for viewers of
IHSA.tv, as the NFHS Network utilizes subscription-based broadcasts for all IHSA post-season events (Regional, Sectional, Super-Sectional, State Final).
All proceeds from each subscription support the NFHS Network and the growing list of a 100+ IHSA schools who broadcast on it. In addition, IHSA member schools who broadcast postseason contests (for their own school or for other schools) will receive 50 percent of any subscription revenue from that particular contest.
The subscription model does contain two exceptions, as the 2.5+ million individuals who receive their cable television from Comcast/Xfinity in Illinois will be able to use their account information to access
www.IHSA.tv free of charge (Comcast/Xfinity customers can access
by clicking here should contact NFHS below or Comcast/Xfinity with additional questions on IHSA.tv access).
In addition, the Girls & Boys Basketball State Finals and Football State Championships will remain free of charge due to broadcast agreements that existed prior to the IHSA joining the NFHS Network.

www.IHSA.tv when you are unable to attend IHSA events in-person. We believe that his technology is an important supplement to our events and that joining the NFHS Network secures our future in being able to provide unprecedented streaming coverage of IHSA events.
