On Monday, April 17, 2017, the Illinois High School Association held its annual honors banquet to recognize some of the top high school students in the state who excel both in academics and extracurricular participation.

The 2017 IHSA All-State Academic Team presented by Caterpillar featured 26 members from around the state of Illinois that were selected by a committee of Principals and Athletic Directors from throughout Illinois. As a part of the banquet, the assembled group, which includes the team members, their families, administrators, teachers and coaches from their high schools, keynote speaker Gary Seely from Caterpillar, the IHSA Board of Directors, and other guests, are introduced to each of the All-State Academic Team members through the video below that is produced by Caterpillar.
