Quotes and Notes

For only the 6th time in IHSA, the championship game was extended into extra innings.

Losing Coach, Jim Hall, Lockport, "We gave the fans their money's worth. It shows how great high school baseball is Illinois. We want to congratulate Schaumburg. They are a great team and they did what they had to do to win. I am also proud of our kids and to be a part of an organization like ours. "

Winning Coach, Paul Groot, Schaumburg, "I'm just proud of our team especially a great group of seniors. They all did the job. The non-starters picked up the rest of the team when we were down. I knew alll season long that our kids were capable of this if we just put it all together. Lockport is a great team and I an proud to be on the same field with them."
