The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors announced that is has chosen to partner with GoFan, a product of Huddle Tickets, as the official digital ticketing provider for IHSA State Series and State Championship events.
The NFHS Network recently designated GoFan as its exclusive partner for a national rollout of digital ticketing for high school sports. The NFHS Network is a joint venture of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), its member state associations, and PlayOn Sports. The IHSA has been a part of the NFHS Network since its founding, in 2013.
“We are excited to begin a partnership with Huddle to offer the GoFan platform at IHSA State Series events,” said IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson. “We are always looking to enhance the fan experience, and we know that Huddle is already a trusted ticketing partner of many of our member high schools.”
Digital ticketing will benefit fans by offering an easy way to purchase tickets in advance on their computers and mobile devices, streamlining entry into venues and providing up-to-the-minute reporting on ticket purchases and validations.
Huddle Tickets and GoFan oﬀers an integrated digital and paper ticketing solutions on for both state associations on post-season events and individual schools for regular season events. Huddle Tickets has provided over 1.3 billion event tickets at no cost to high schools since 2001, collectively saving partner schools tens of millions of dollars. For the 2017-2018 school year, Huddle has expanded its free oﬀerings to include the GoFan digital ticketing app. GoFan provides high schools with digital ticketing capabilities along with the convenience, safety and security of professional sporting events at no cost to the schools.
The IHSA, who has used GoFan digital ticketing at select Sectional, Football Playoff and State Final events in 2017 and 2018, will begin phasing in digital ticketing at select championship events during the 2018 winter season.
“Digital ticketing is a service that our schools have increasingly asked the Association to provide leadership on in recent years,” said Anderson. “Before proceeding, we wanted to have a comfort level that a digital ticketing service could be utilized by every IHSA member school, regardless of size or resources. GoFan has gone above and beyond in providing that experience, and we look forward to integrating GoFan into more IHSA events moving forward.”
