Mike Clark's journalism career has spanned six states and over 40 years, but he has undeniably made his biggest impact with prep sports fans in Chicagoland.
Fittingly, Mike was honored with the IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the University of Illinois Chicago's Curtis Granderson Stadium, which played host to the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Baseball Semifinals.
Between semifinal contests, Mike was recognized at home plate by CPS Athletic Administrator Eddie Curry and IHSA Assistant Executive Director Matt Troha.
