Prior to its game against Springfield Southeast on Friday, September 29, 2017, Sacred Heart-Griffin High School surprised legendary head football coach Ken Leonard by announcing that the Cyclones home field will now be known Ken Leonard Field.

Leonard has led Sacred Heart-Griffin to the IHSA state championship game eight times in his career, including winning five state titles.
