After a student-athlete awareness meeting earlier this year, the Joliet West freshman football team took Athletic Director Steve Millsaps' challenge by learning and then performing the school fight song to earn a pizza party.

The Joliet West varsity football team has sung the song five times after victories this season and will go for its sixth try on October 24. The team is in position to make the playoffs for the first-time ever as single school, as its last appearance came in 1994 as a part of a cooperative with Joliet Central. Comcast SportsNet Chicago expects to be at the school at 8:00 pm on October 25, when the Playoff Pairing Show unveils the first round matchups and the Tigers see if they will be dancing (and singing) in the IHSA playoffs.
