The IHSA is proud to congratulate the finalists of the 2024 IHSA Student Section & Spirit Showdown!  The IHSA Student Advisory Committee judged several video entries that highlighted sportsmanship as well as school and community spirit.  The finalists have been invited to the 2024 IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals at Illinois State University’s CEFCU Arena on Saturday, March 2, where the winners in Class 1A/2A and Class 3A/4A will be announced.  The winning schools will receive a commemorative banner.

The IHSA student advisory committee (SAC) met on Sunday, February 4th, and evaluated all submitted videos on sportsmanship, creativity, school spirit, and community service among other judging criteria. “The culture and pride of each school and their respective communities were clearly showcased in all the videos,” said IHSA Assistant Executive Director Dan Le. “It was not an easy task for the SAC to determine the finalists with so many quality video submissions.” The winning school in each class will be announced at halftime of the 2A girls basketball championship game on Saturday, March 2nd.
