2015 IHSA Class 3A & 4A Baseball State Championships End With Walkoff Winners

The 2015 IHSA Class 3A and Class 4A baseball state championship games had to be moved to 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. starts, respectively, on Saturday, June 12, 2015 in order to beat storms that would eventually shorten the Class 3A third-place game before wiping out the Class 4A third-place game altogether.

Those who were able to get to the ballpark for the early starts were treated to a par of classic finals, as both contests ended with walkoff winners.

In the Class 3A contest, Grant Geppert (above left) was the hero with the bases loaded gamewinner in the bottom of the seventh, while Mike Madej (above right) led Providence to its second consecutive state title by driving in a run in extra innings.
