Mr. Robert Nolting, Principal of Victor J. Andrew High School, was elected to the Board of Directors in October of 2013 representing Division 3.  Prior involvement with the IHSA was as a member of the Badminton Advisory Commission from 2009-2012 representing Division 3.

Mr. Nolting attended high school at Homewood-Flossmoor in south suburban Chicago.  After high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he was a four-year letter winner in soccer and completed a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education, focused on Secondary Education-Social Studies.  He began his Social Studies teaching career at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy while serving as Head Soccer Coach, Strength Program Coordinator, and Assistant Rugby Coach.  During his time at St. John’s, he completed his Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He moved to Franklin High School, in Franklin, Wisconsin as a Social Studies teacher (1999-2000) and Athletic Director (2000-2004) while also serving as Head Girls Soccer coach and assistant Boys Soccer coach.  In 2004, he moved to Victor J. Andrew High School and served as Assistant Principal of Instruction.  After spending three years at Carl Sandburg High School as Associate Principal of Instruction, he returned to Victor J. Andrew High school in 2009 where he has served as Principal.  During that time, he proudly served the Southwest Suburban Conference as Secretary (2012-13) and President (2013-14).

He lives in the Lockport/Homer Glen community with his wife Tracey and two children, Aidan and Addison.  He remains active in community sports, specifically soccer and basketball.
