The Chicago Marist Redhawks improved to 25-8 with a 48-44 win over Edwardsville in the Class 4A supersectional at Illinois Wesleyan. Tha game was tied at halftime, 25-25, and Marist trailed 39-33 at the end of the third quarter but outscored the Tigers, 15-5 in the final period. Marist got three players in double figures, led by Maureen Mulchrone with 15, Lauren Niemiera with 14 and Haley Stercic with 10. Caliee Corcoran grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Edwardsville's Anya Covington scored 17 points and snared 15 rebounds as the Tigers (31-3) outrebounded Marist, 35-24.
