The Vikings of Niles North avenged an early season whitewash at the hands of the Evanston Wildkits by winning this Regional Final THRILLER!!! Senior Jonel Dukic of NN answered 1st half and 2nd half goals by Evanston to keep the Vikings season alive. Both teams battled furiously through three overtimes until, in the 4th OT, NN junior co-captain, Javier Torres, broke free in the middle and fired a rocket into goal to end this titanic struggle. The Regional Champion Vikings now move on to the sectional Semi-Finals at Glenbrook North (TUESDAY - Oct. 23).
