School Classification ChangesOn April 25, 2006, the IHSA Board of Directors adopted a classification policy that placed the five-ninths (55.6%) of IHSA member schools in Class A and four-ninths (44.4%) in Class AA. Based on figures available at that time, the Board anticipated an enrollment cut-off of 744. As of May 12, 2006, there are 756 IHSA member schools. Based on official figures received from the Illinois State Board of Education, the following classifications have been established for the 2006-07 school term.
