School Classification ChangesAs of June 13, 2005, there are 750 IHSA member schools with the following classifications for the 2005-06 school term: 417 in Class A, 333 in Class AA. Classification cut-off for 2005-06:
The following schools will change classes for the 2005-06 school term: From Class A up to Class AA: Belleville (Althoff), Breese (Mater Dei), Burlington (Central), Chicago (Agricultural Science), Chicago (Bronzeville), Chicago (CICS-Northtown Academy), Chicago (Clark), Chicago (Cristo Rey Jesuit), Chicago (Hope), Chicago (Jones), Chicago (Leo), Chicago (Manley), Chicago (Noble Street Charter), Chicago (St. Scholastica), Chicago (University), Elgin (St. Edward), Fairbury (Prairie Central), Freeburg, Kankakee (McNamara), Lansing (Illiana Christian), Lemont (Mt. Assisi Academy), Lombard (Montini), Marengo, Normal (University), Palos Heights (Chicago Christian), Quincy (Notre Dame), River Grove (Guerin), Rock Falls, Rock Island (Alleman), Sandwich, West Chicago (Wheaton Academy), Wheaton (St. Francis), Wood River (East Alton-W.R.), Woodstock (Marian) (NOTE: This list may be reduced as schools are granted waivers from the 1.65 multiplier.)
