Paul Whittington, principal of East Peoria Community High School, was appointed to the Board of Directors in July 2005, and won election later that year. He represents Division 6.

Whittington started his teaching career in 1972 at Metamora Township High School, where he was also assistant football and track coach.

In 1994, Paul became the athletic director at East Peoria. He became principal at East Peoria in 2002.

Paul graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from Illinois State University in 1972. He earned his master's degree in education administration from Illinois State University in 1997.

Paul and his wife, Ellen, are the parents of four children.
