On
August 15, 1999 Holman became the
25th person to serve on
the IHSA administrative staff.
Holman
came to the IHSA staff from the
Quad Cities Sports Commission
where he was the Executive
Director. In that position, he
represented five cities in two
states, marketing the area to
national and international
sporting events, amateur and
professional, as well as creating
and developing local and regional
events.
Before
joining the Quad Cities Sports
Commission he worked for United
Sports Ventures, a sport marketing
and management company that owned
and operated several professional
sports franchises and venues
across the country.
Anthony is the administrator for
Baseball and serves on the NFHS
Baseball Advisory Committee. Anthony oversees the Illinois High School Activities
Foundation, which underwrites
scholarship and student
recognition programs. Anthony is the staff
administrator for sponsorships and
the IHSA Television network. Anthony is also responsible
for State Final Tickets in
Football and Boys & Girls
Basketball.
A
Lockport native, Holman was a
letter winner in track and
three-year starter in basketball.
He earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Political Science and
Public Administration from
Augustana College in Rock Island
and was a member of the 1993
Augustana Basketball team that
finished second in the nation.
Anthony and his wife Lisa reside in Bloomington.
