Doug Domeracki, IHSA Board Member

Dr. Douglas Domeracki, principal of Gurnee (Warren) High School, was appointed to the Board in July 2005 and won election later that year. He represents Division 2.

Domeracki started his teaching career in 1986 at Lansing (Thornton Fractional South), where he was also assistant wrestling coach. At Lemont (H.S.), he served as wrestling, tennis and track coach from 1987 to 1993.

Moving into administration, Doug served as assistant principal of McHenry High School's west campus from 1993 to 2000, before taking over the principalship at Grayslake. In 2004, he moved to Lincolnshire (Stevenson), where he served in the dual role of assistant superintendent and principal. Domeracki assumed his current position at Gurnee (Warren) in December, 2005.

Doug graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Western Illinois University in 1986. He earned his master's degree in educational administration from Governor's State University in 1990 and his Ed.D. from Northern Illinois University in 2002.

Dr. Domeracki and his wife, Debbie, have two sons.
