Dear __________________
You are invited to participate in two activities to celebrate
National Sportsmanship Day.
1) I am looking for volunteers to distribute buttons or ribbons to
everyone as they
enter the building on (date). Distribution will be
from 7:00 a.m. to 7:25 a.m. at all
doors of the building. I need you? Will you help?!?
2) You are also invited to attend a Round Table discussion on (date),
during period
1 in the Faculty Dining Room. All team captains
and club presidents are invited
to share ideas and concerns regarding
sportsmanship. The purpose is to
brainstorm ideas to benefit the school. We need
to answer some of the following
questions in addition to other concerns you'd
like to discuss:
How can we promote school spirit?
How can we promote rival relationships?
How can we help students gain a better
understanding of the difference between
right and wrong both on and off the playing
field and in life?
What about ethics and fair-play?
How can we reward good sportsmanship?
How can we discourage poor sportsmanship?
Should we create a Top Ten List of Good
Sportsmanship?
What about sportsmanship in the classroom?
How can we be good sports?
Please give your name to my secretary in the attendance office, if
you will help distribute ribbons and/or if you'll participate in the
Captains'/Presidents' Round Table in the Facility Dining Room.
I encourage you to participate in both events. Please let me know by
(date) if you'll participate in either or both activities.
Thanks!
Ms. Busch
