Which cable channel in my area carries IHSA TV?

When will the broadcast air on my cable channel?

  • Almost all the basic cable channels which carry IHSA programming do so on a live basis.  If you have questions whether or not games in your area will be carried live on your cable station, contact your local cable operator.

Satellite Dishes

Movable C-Band Dishes

Owners of movable C-band satellite dishes can receive the broadcasts directly.

The boys and girls basketball games will be carried on Galaxy 17 at 91º W, C-Band transponder 14C, slot D 9mhz, downlink frequency 3993.5 (vertical), symbol rate 6.200, FEC 3/4, data rate 8.570588. The broadcasts will be digital and require a digital receiver (decoder). The broadcasts are not scrambled and should be tuneable by any MPEG-2/DVB compliant receiver.

Dish Network

Dish Network satellite owners in the Chicago marketplace can tune to channel 50 (WPWR) to view IHSA broadcasts.

Dish Network satellite owners in the Quad Cities marketplace can tune to channel 26 (KGWB) to view IHSA broadcasts.

Dish Network satellite owners in the Peoria marketplace can tune to channel 7755 (WAOE) to view IHSA broadcasts.
