 Notes & Quotes
WINNING COACH PATTY IVERSON OF PARK RIDGE (MAINE SOUTH):
“This is the fourth time we’ve played. We won each time when it was only two games. Lindsey played very well. She blocked a lot of rolls. We passed very well in the second game. It was scary coming into this game because we beat them twice. There was a little pressure on us and we weren’t supposed to lose it. I was happy to have two teams in the final eight in our conference.”

LOSING COACH HANNAH HSIEH OF WINNETKA (NEW TRIER):
“I would have liked to have seen someone else. At the same time, it was to our advantage because we’ve played them before. In the second game, we started with an 8-2 deficit. We fought really hard to get back into the game. Gina Heiderman caused more trouble for us in the second game. We had a hard time stopping her. I’m really proud of this team. We really worked through adversity this year, because there was a time when we had trouble getting wins.”
