Vernon Hills Boys Swimming & Diving Sectional Results

Manager's Note

7 POOL RECORDS were broke today at the Vernon Hills Boys Swimming Sectional Meet. The day began with Alex Zuniga from Vernon Hills shattering the pool record in diving with a score of 470.80 which is 12 points higher than the previous record. Connor Black broke two with times of 20.43 in the 50 free and 49.29 in the 100 fly. Peter Grumhaus from Lake Forest broke the 500 free in a time of 4:35.31 and the Lake Forest 400 free relay set a new record time of 3:08.70. Libertyville's Alex Snarski's time of 50.04 is the new record in the 100 backstroke, which was previously set by Olympic Gold Medalist Matt Grevers. Finally, Kyle Aerne of Lakes now owns the pool record for the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.74. Congratulations to Lake Forest High School - the winner of the 2013 Vernon Hills Boys Swimming Sectional, and their coach, Cindy Dell on her honor as Sectional Coach of the Year.
