Manager's Comment: Great job by the student anglers today on Shabbona Lake under tough conditions. Overall, 56 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 87 pounds. Finishing in 1st Place (and capturing their 6th Sectional Championship out of the 13 held at Shabbona Lake!) was St. Charles North. Boat Driver Dave Fuerst, senior Ethan Brain, junior Brandon Bullock, and freshman David Pstrong advanced on the strength of Ethan's 5 fish weighing a total of 14 lbs 4 oz. Their limit was anchored by Ethan's big bass of the tournament which weighed in at 5 lbs 2 oz - great job! Finishing in 2nd Place was Byron High School Boat #2 captained by Phil Kesler with students Ethan Dietrich, Ben Christian, and Kai Young. Byron weighed in 5 fish for 7 lb 15 oz. Finishing in 3rd Place was DeKalb High School Boat #1 captained by Dave Elliott with students Brad Hoffman and Charlie Vanderbleek. DeKalb weighed in 5 fish for 7 lb 14 oz. Finishing in 4th Place was St. Charles North Boat #1 captained by Tim Pinks with students Jason Miedema, Wil Lackner, and Jacob Romanczuk. St. Charles North weighed in 5 fish for 7 lb 9 oz.
