QUOTES AND NOTES
Winning coach, Chris Head, Chicago (Westinghouse)
``We played a very good basketball game and we played fifteen players which we haven't had a chance to do much this year. It's only been about five times all season where we've had the opportunity to do that. Tonight we got the opportunity to play some young kids in the quarterfinals that have never had this kind of experience. I think its going to help us out, especially in tomorrow's semifinals."
``My score keeper kind of goofed up and he didn't have Richard Russell's name in the book."
``We've been doing a nice job of playing defense the past two games. Today we decided we were going to front everything post, strong side. We got an opportunity to look at Bloom play twice and all we saw was (Philip) Alexander, Alexander, Alexander. We wanted to kind of take him out of the game. We did an alright job on him in the first half but in the second half we really shut him down. I don't know how many points he had but I'm pretty certain it was way below what he is used to."
``These guys, and I've been saying this all along, are a great group of guys. They are the best basketball team I've ever had the opportunity to coach. They're focused on one thing and that is winning the game that is in front of them. Our ultimate goal is to win the state final and I think we've got a very good chance of doing that. We're playing a very good Peoria (Richwood) team Saturday. We played them earlier in the year and we didn't play very well but we still won. There is a couple of adjustments we'll have to make in practice tomorrow morning. It should be a good game tomorrow afternoon."

``Obviously they haven't only lost two games in two years without a reason. They are a great team."
``I thought we were a little bit shell-shocked, maybe with the atmosphere. I don't know if we played as well as we have been playing but I'm sure a lot of that was Chicago (Westinghouse). They're extremely quick, they are everything everybody's said about them the last couple years."
``They're much better rebounders than I anticipated. They are very quick off their feet. They didn't show their whole arsenal out there today, that's obvious."
``I think we're quick. I thought we were one of the quickest teams I had seen this year, but Westinghouse's quickness is at a different level."
``It was very hard for us to assimilate that in practice. We tried using six or seven guys on the floor to work against a press."
