IHSA INTERNET NETWORK EXPANDS COVERAGE TO INCLUDE
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL AND SWIMMING IN 2005-06

The IHSA Internet Network has announced that it will expand coverage to include two additional sports during the 2005-06 school term. In addition to its previous schedule which includes coverage of football, basketball, baseball, softball and track and field, the network will expand to cover girls volleyball and swimming during the upcoming broadcast season.

Full coverage of the Class A and AA Girls Volleyball tournaments will begin Friday, November 11 and continue through Saturday November 12 from Redbird Arena in Normal, IL. In addition, the network will also provide live comprehensive coverage of the 2005 girls swimming championships from Evanston, IL on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. All broadcasts will be sponsored by COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services, which has supported the network since its inception in 2003.

With the expansion of its broadcast schedule, the IHSA Internet Network also is looking to increase its on-air staff to accommodate coverage of the volleyball and swimming events. Those interested in participating in the volleyball and swimming broadcasts should contact the network's production arm, AmeriSports Media of Arlington Heights, IL. Applicants should have previous broadcast experience and an ability to call play-by-play for volleyball and/or swimming.
