Class 1A and 2A Regionals:
Regional Preliminaries to be held at the highest seeded team’s school on Tuesday, October 23
Regional Semifinals and Finals to be played at the designated Regional site on Thursday, October 25
Class 3A and 4A Regionals:
Regional Preliminaries to be held at the highest seeded team’s school on Wednesday, October 24
Regional Semifinals and Finals to be played at the designated Regional site on Saturday, October 27
Class 1A -- 4A Sectionals:
Sectional Semifinals and Finals to be played on Thursday, November 1
Class 1A – 4A Super-Sectionals:
Super-sectionals to be played on Monday, November 5
Class 1A – 4A State Final:
State Finals to be held on Friday-Saturday, November 9-10 at the Redbird Arena, Normal, IL
Advancement: The winners of the thirty-two (32) regional tournaments shall advance to eight (8) sectional tournaments consisting of four teams each. The winners of the eight (8) sectional tournaments shall advance to four (4) super-sectional matches consisting of two teams each. The winners of the four (4) super -sectional tournaments shall advance to the state final tournament
State Final Ticket Prices: All tickets are general admission tickets.
Single-session for competing schools and general public @ $8.00 each in advance or
at the door.
Scoring: All levels: The state
series will use the rally-scoring format. A match will consist of
the best 2 (two) out of 3 (three) games. The games, including the
deciding game, will be played to 25 points (no cap). A team must
win by 2 (two) points. The let serve will be used. Only 2
(two) time outs will be allowed per game.
