Since captains are key components to a healthy, successful season, the IHSA would like to recognize their leadership.  A special opportunity is being provided to schools that have varsity volleyball captains attending the girls' volleyball state finals at Illinois State University.  The recognition will take place Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the State Tournament.  Certificates will also be awarded to the participants.  Group pictures will be taken and included in next year's state final program.

Schedule

Captains' Day (Class A and AA) -- Session 3 – Following Match 11

(All captains participating in the recognition program, please meet in Section T at approximately 12:45 p.m.)

Coaches should complete the Captains' Day Form provided in the School Manual and fax the completed form to the IHSA Office at 309-663-7479 on or before November 10, 2009.  Be reminded that only schools may submit their captains' names and must submit only the names of girls who will be attending the state finals.
