Winning Coach Donna Dulle, Mt. Pulaski, “All I remember is that we won. This is a team that bounces back. We were back to our old selves. I wanted to go out for today’s game relaxed and having fun. We had a wonderful time and we definitely want to come back. All year the team has been very close. Like a big family. Hats off to the IHSA and to everyone that contributed to making this tournament possible.
Player Lindsay Clements (Sr.) : This is probably the best birthday present I could have asked for. The entire weekend has been alot of fun.
Losing Coach Tim Kerr, Augusta (Southeastern), “Congratulations to Mt. Pulaski on a terrific season. I thought our players had kind of a rough day losing two in a row. We aren’t used to that but this is the time of the year to do it. It is nice to be able to take home a trophy. We knew that we had a good group of girls coming into this season and it is nice for our little town and school to be able to place a 4th place trophy in the trophy case. It seems like we weren’t able to read the ball off the serve. We didn’t play to our potential, but I am still excited about our 4th place finish.
