Quotes and Notes
Winning Coach: Rhonda Jensen of Quincy Notre Dame
We don't have a club team in Quincy, so this is a tribute to these girls for all their hard work. We spend time on our defense. We teach them to think for themselves. They (Casey) ran a quicker offense than we've seen all year. We're not used to seeing that and it takes a while to get used to defending that. About playing tonight for first place: Twice is nice.
#5 Beth Liesen - I think we're really quick and we all like to dive; that's the funnest part of volleyball.
#16 Beth Zeidler - We want to win. I know for the seniors this would be an awesome way to end it.
Losing Coach: Marianne Larimer of Casey-Westfield
I though we played better today, so actually we're kind of pleased. I thought both teams battled each other pretty well. They had some tremendous saves. When you get to this level, you expect the power, but you just hope some of those balls drop. I think maybe people saw we can play the game.
#14 - Melissa Hickox - I think there's a lot of intensity left. None of us have ever been here. It's no different than us playing for first or second.
