2008 Girls State Track and Field Meet Time Schedule

(Semifinals in Class A then Class AA)
Coach/Athlete Responsibility: Times are approximate and competitors are responsible to report prior to an event. Regardless of the time an event is scheduled, events will follow one another in the order indicated and the meet will be kept moving along. It is the responsibility of the coaches and their athletes to monitor the progress of the meet and to report for competition appropriately. Do not rely solely on calls from the PA announcer. Section VII-E (Reporting To The Clerk of The Course) of the Terms and Conditions will be strictly enforced.
Warm-up times in the field events: Pole Vault 30 minutes per flight; Discus 20 minutes per flight; Shot Put 15 minutes per flight; Long Jump 15 minutes per flight; High Jump 15 minutes per flight; Triple Jump 15 minutes per flight.
Pole Vault Weigh-in: Prelims -- Contestants by flight order in the tent at the southeast corner of O’Brien Stadium beginning with morning session Flight No. 1 at 8:00 a.m. and afternoon session Flight No. 1 at 11:30 a.m. Competitors will be weighed in flight order. Once a flight has been weighed, those in the next flight will be weighed. If there is a break in the weigh-in, competitors may check their weight with the permission of the judges. Finals – 10:00 a.m. in the tent.
Packet Pick-Up - Friday – Class A before 8:00 a.m., Class AA not later than 11:00 a.m. at ticket booth – After this time pick-up at South East Gate)
Shot Inspection : Shots will be weighed and measured at the tent in the northeast corner of the stadium.
Prelims – Class A Girls shot - Inspection for Flights 1 & 2 between 8:15a.m. and 8:40a.m. Flights 3 & 4 immediately following flights 1 & 2 (approximately 9:30 to 9:55).
Finals – Class A Girls shot – Inspection between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Prelims - Class AA Girls shot - Inspection for Flights 1 & 2 between 11:45 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Flights 3 & 4 immediately following flights 1 & 2 (approximately 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.).
Finals – Class AA Girls shot– Inspection between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Discus Inspection : Discuses will be weighed and measured in the tent located at the discus rings south of the stadium.
Prelims – Class A Girls discus - Inspection for the discus will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 10:30 a.m. for all flights in class A.
Finals – Class A Girls Discus – Inspection between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Prelims - Class AA Girls Discus – Inspection for the discus will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m. for all flights in AA.
Finals – Class AA Girls Discus – Inspection will begin at 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Pole Vault Flight 3 - South Runway upon completion of Flight 1 (30-minute warm-up)
9:00 a.m. High Jump Flight 1 followed by Flight 2 and Flight 3 (Flight No. 1 warm-up at 8:15 a.m., other flights have 15-minute warm-up)
9:00 a.m. Shot Put Flight 1 followed by Flight 2, Flight 3 and Flight 4 (Flight 1 Warm-up 8:15 a.m., other flights have 15-minute warm-up)
9:00 a.m. Long Jump Flight 1 followed by Flight 2, Flight 3 and Flight 4 (Flight 1 Warm-up at 8:15 a.m., other flights have 15-minute warm-up)
10:30 a.m. Discus Flight 1 followed by Flight 2, Flight 3 and Flight 4 (Flight 1 Warm-up at 10:10 a.m. Other flights have 20-minute warm-up)
10:30 a.m. Triple Jump Flight 1 followed by Flight 2, Flight 3 and Flight 4 (Flight 1 Warm-up at Warm-up 9:15 a.m., other flights have 15-minute warm-up)

Official Times — FAT/Manual Times: Unless it is a heat in which there is a certain number of competitors qualifying from that heat to the Finals, if the FAT (Fully Automatic Timing) times are available for all Heats or Sections of a race, the FAT times will be the Official times used for advancement and seeding in an event. If the FAT times are not available for all Heats or Sections of a race, the Manual times will be the Official times used for advancement, seeding and for Final results.
