State Final - Friday & Saturday May 23-24 at O'Brien Stadium, Eastern Illinois
University, Charleston
Advancement
First and second place winners in each event, including relay teams, from
each of the Sectional meets shall advance to the State final meet.
In addition, any individual or relay team who equals or surpasses the
qualifying standard in the finals for the class they represent in the Sectional meet shall advance to the State Final Meet in their
class.
State Final Scoring
Class A and Class AA award in each individual and relay even 10 points for
1st, 8 for 2nd, 7 for 3rd, 6 for 4th, 5 for 5th, 4 for 6th, 3 for 7th, 2 for 8th and 1 for
9th.
NOTE: Points in the 4 x 100 (400 Meter Relay), 4 x 200 (800 Meter
Relay), 4 x 400 (1600 Meter Relay), and 4 x 800 (3200 Meter Relay) will be scored the same
as each of the individual events.
