State Final Ticket Prices (Memorial Stadium, Champaign, IL) : Single-day (4 games) tickets @ $10.00 each in advance or at the gate to general public

First Year of State Series: 1974-75 (529 schools entered)

Levels of Competition: (Single-elimination series) Eight-class format based upon the enrollment of the 256 teams qualifying for berths, 32 teams each class participating

Day and Times: Saturday Games: All games shall be scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Exact starting times shall be determined by the host school after consulting with the visiting school. The final decision on game time is up to the host school.

Friday Games: If participating schools mutually agree, any game prior to the State Final may be played on Friday. Games shall not be scheduled during school hours.
1) 128 First Round games at site of one of the competing schools on Fri.,
    October 26 or Sat., October 27
2) 64 Second Round games at site of one of the competing schools on Fri.,
    November 2 or Sat., November 3
3) 32 Quarterfinal Round games at site of one of the competing schools on
    Fri., November 9 or Sat., November 10
4) 16 Semifinal Round games at site of one of the competing schools on Fri.,
    November 16 or Sat., November 17
5) Combined (two-day) set of eight (8) championship games on Fri., November
    23 and Sat., November 24
    (Class 1A-4A games will be played), Fri., November 23 (Class 5A-8A will be played Sat., November 24 at Memorial Stadium, Champaign, IL
