Officials Training at IHSA State FinalThis free opportunity to mentor with some of the best in the field of competitive cheer officiating will be available on Saturday, February 7th at US Cellular Coliseum. Session Times are as listed: Small Team Finals --- 11 am You can attend all four training sessions or select those that best fit your schedule. This training will allow opportunity for discussion, live scoring in both panel and tech score sheets and rubric review. These sessions will benefit both the novice official and the veteran official. This training will provide practice scoring as well as identify deductions and penalties. PANEL discussion will include Skill Assessment, Rubric & Skill Comparisons, and Proportionate Scoring & Range. TECH discussion we cover NFHS Guidelines, Spirit Of The Rule, and Making The Call. Additionally, an overview of Professionalism, Ethics, Fairness and Teamwork will be shared citing sources such as Let's Make It Official (NFHS) and the IHSA Sports Officials Handbook. Mentoring officials can check in at the registration table/pass gate in the Pepsi Ice Center connected to the Coliseum. A designated suite at the Coliseum overlooking the live cheer state finals will be site of the training.
