Wheeling High School Coaches Save Officials Life With CPR & AED

Wheeling police officer Rick Richardson (above left) was off-duty on October 17, 2017, when he was coaching the Wheeling freshman football team in a game against Elk Grove Village. During the contest, one of the officials collapsed on the field. Richardson's training took over, as he performed CPR and administered an AED with assistance from fellow coach Joe Wolinski (above right). Thanks to their life-saving efforts, the official eventually came to and was transported to the hospital.
