Rudy is considered to be one of the great sports movies of all time, espically in Illinois given the roots of protagnist Dan "Rudy" Ruettiger. Could Illinois be the setting for another classic sports movie about overcoming adversity? A new film based on an equally chantable nickname made its world premiere on January 31, as the film Hoovey debutted in Normal.

The film chronciles Olympia High School alum Eric "Hoovey" Elliot, who overcame a brain tumor and a harrowing rehabilitation to play basketball for the Spartans. See the official trailer below:
